Modjadji’s Gold

Part of the artist's personal collection of works

Modjadji’s Gold

I am the ground untold

I am the dreams

I hold

The loves unlost

The hour’s costs

I am the years of reign

The treasure’s gain

The sorrows fought

The light I’ve sought

I am the fields unsung

The distance strung

Like jewels upon a map of days

I am the leader of my ways.

I’ve rested long

Within the cantos

Of this song

Of lives I’ve lived

I am the hopes

I hoped to give.

But it is time

For roots to rise

And leaves to rustle to the skies

Where pass I must

‘Pon paths of dust.

To be the promise

I entrust.

About Jenny Reyneke Art

My earliest memories are of pens, paper, paint, pastels and poetry. They delight me still.
